The fashion gods have struck again and this time New York City is getting quite the treat. Lanvin is opening a store in NYC and we say, finally! The fashion brand cordoned off their space at 815 Madison Avenue on the 68th street side. Lanvin will occupy at 6,875 sq ft., five-floor townhouse with the three lower floors being the retail space and the two upper floors eventually becoming the company’s corporate space in September.
Even Alber Elbaz insists “It’s about time” and it shows with Mannequins faces painted white and their lips painted red with cupid’s bows as they hold birdcages. With a sales pitch like “The only thing I would love you to do is help the women look beautiful,” I don’t think Mr. Elbaz can be beat. Look for the store to make its appearance at the end of this week and if you do decide to drop in, be sure to check out the t-shirts made for Lanvins 120th year anniversary painted and decorated with ribbons for $450.
