
With Lindsay Lohan’s not so stellar, but widely covered debut as Creative Director for Ungaro, Mama Lohan Dina is jumping on the fashion bandwagon as well, but in smaller leaps of fashion-kind. Dina will be launching a shoe line called “Shos-Han” which will be sold online at LoveMyShoes.com worldwide hopefully by Mother’s Day.
“I’ve always loved shoes,” Dina Lohan told Newsday. “I think it stems from when I went to private school and had to wear a uniform; the only thing I could feel stylish about were my shoes.” She will also be the spokeswoman for the brand in television and radio commercials. “Although she won’t be the designer of the line…she’ll definitely have a major influence in which direction it will go,” said I Love My Shoes founder and president Robert Yeganeh. “She may not be followed as a fashionista” he told E!, “but if the shoes are designed right and priced under $100…they will sell.”
Marketing ploy? Probably so. Will Dina’s motherly image help her sell shoes? We’re not so sure, but we’re certainly interested in seeing how this plays out. Lohan is holding an official press conference at Trump Plaza in New York, Thursday, October 8th to announce the new line.
