Shoes in the House of Harlow

Fashion starlet and mother of two Nicole Richie has a lot on her plate right now. With the success of her maternity line A Pea In The Pod and her very highly anticipated ready-to-wear collection Winter Kate, Richie is certainly making a name for herself in the realm of fashion. Most recently, she has added 20 piece footwear line to her very successful House of Harlow 1960 accessories line, which will exclusively be available on the web in the UK come January 2010.

The footwear has very bold embellishments and tribal features, much like the existing House of Harlow 1960 collection,  and has everything from boots and heels to the very trendy moccasins. Some standouts from the footwear line are peep-toe booties with geometric cutouts and tribal patterns, and the much talked about ultra high peep-toe platforms with whip stitched diamond prints that run vertically along the back of the heel.

Richie’s footwear collection has taken tribal inspiration and translated it for the savvy fashionista seeking to glam and funk up the tribal influences. Only time will tell if she was successful in her interpretation.

What do you think of Richie's fashion endeavors?
