For most women, the notion of being forever 21 is one of great interest and appeal. However, since its not possible, Forever 21 is now joining the several make-up brands who pride themselves on keeping women looking as young as possible for as long as possible. The introduction of the 145-piece Love & Beauty collection from Forever 21 is the milestone as the first ever beauty product from a “fast-fashion” retailer in the United States, and will be strategically placed in full at 135 locations with a portion of  the collection at the remaining 300 stores.

Packaged in black and clear plastic with a script logo written in silver, black or white, the Love & Beauty line is positioning itself to be as widely accepted as its product offerings. The beauty collection consists of a wide assortment of products that span lips, eyes, face, nail applications, fragrance and beauty accessories such as cosmetic bags, tweezers and makeup brushes. Forever 21 spokeswoman Kirstin Nagle expressed “It made sense as a next step, If you think of our customer, she loves being on trend and, to complete her look, we had everything in our stores except the cosmetics piece.”

With nothing priced over $10, this looks like it could be a homerun for the brand. “We are using a lot of the vendors that are making prestige cosmetics. It is the same quality as prestige vendors, but at Forever 21 prices,” Nagle said. Certainly right after or right next to good quality, consumers want products that are affordable these days.
