When we first saw the Louis Goldin X Topshop studded heel, everyone was sure that we’d begin to see a group of people wearing shoes that double as a weapon.

While the futuristic yet rocker edge style would have certainly lent to the vain and adventurous stylista, we thought that spikes running down that back of the heel were a tad bit extreme to stomp city streets. It would appear that Louis Goldin and Topshop may have come to a similar conclusion when the final prototypes were revealed.

The finalized shoes are a very toned-down version, created in beige, black and rose. The spikes leave less of a dangerous impression while the stones are almost lackluster in comparison. The shoe is not very futuristic at all. Nonetheless, it will begin retailing online and at select locations for  £150 or approximately $242.60 USD.
