Green for St. Patricks Day

Everyone has a favorite color or at the very least, a color they look good in. For some it’s red, for others black, and for you it may be blue, but on one particular day of the year it’s green for everyone. For St. Patrick’s Day, the fashion Gods push all of the other colors within your wardrobe aside , and yet, still require you to look nothing short of stylish. For the impending St. Patrick’s holiday, most people assume that their choices for the day are very slim since most people take the novelty approach, but mostly because the average person associates their choices primarily with Kelly Green.

Many people don’t fully understand or even remember the vast shades of the color green that exist. The best way to approach these anxieties is to fully understand that your only as limited as the limits you place on yourself. Just because you neighbor or co-worker is dressed head-to-toe in a green ensemble perfectly matched to a four leaf clover, doesn’t mean you have to follow suit. Look into varying shades like money, emerald, lime, mint, sea font, forest and even neon as options; all of which will suffice for the holiday but may also just have you feeling and looking good throughout the day. When searching for the perfect shade, be sure to complement your skin tone: most people overlook this detail resulting in a failed and unflattering fashion attempt.

Also, don’t feel the need to overdue any one shade of green in the ensemble. Unless you looking to celebrate the day with novelty fashion, allow the green of your choice to be the stand out. Pop color reflected in a staple piece, paired against a neutral or warm tone base color is an ultimate successful combinaiton. Instead of calling attention to an entirely green you, highlight a specific green portion of you which serves best with your goals and needs.

Cliché as it may sound, the most important thing to remember which approaching any holiday, or most importantly St. Patrick’s Day, is to do what works best for you. More often then not, choices are made, usually bad ones, based on what one thinks the should be wearing because someone else is or looked good in it, when in fact your decision should be based on how you look and feel in it. Don’t be afraid to go against the grain a little and dictate how you are going to be a stylish reflection of the day. Remember, with a day like St. Patrick’s Day, its much more important to look stylish at the beginning of the day because most people won’t remember how you looked by the end.

Enjoy the holiday and wear green responsibly.
